Ready for a change

Sitting in math class was the worst. I was seriously the only girl in that class besides the teacher. It felt so awkward just sitting there especially since I didn't know anyone. It seemed like everyone in the school knew each other and there wasn't room for anyone else to join. The people in the school were certainly not friendly at all when you would walk down the hall boys would just look at you like ugh shes a new freshman and have side comments. I'm not really the type to just talk to people so I guess I should say I'm not friendly and that is one thing that does not work out well in this school. I was always the type to talk to mostly girls when I was in school and now I was going to have to become friends with boys since that was all that surrounded me. I didn't think this was a bad thing I actually thought it would be kind of cool to try something new and probably end up with a boy best friend so I was ready for the change. But I soon realized it led to different ideas to other people.

Girls in HSSM

Does anyone wonder how it will feel being in a school with around 95% of the students being boys and just 5% of the students being girls? Well this is the everyday life of a typical girl going to The High School Of Sports Management. The first time I heard about this school was when I was doing a transfer from the original high school I got excepted to. This school was the only school available to me because it was my zone school. I figured hey this school doesn't sound so bad because what stood out the most to me was "SPORTS". I guess I'm pretty much a athletic girl I love softball and even though i may not be good in other sports I'm always willing to try something new. I was excited about starting my first year of high school in HSSM after a meeting I had with Ms.Williams and my mother. I was told that the majority of this school was boys but I wasn't really worried about it I was really eager to start school. I mean what could be so bad about a school with mostly boys? But I actually had another thing coming when I stepped foot into the building of my new high school for the first day of school.
